Lakai is a Torrance, California based footwear manufacturer that creates shoes designed specifically for skateboarding. Lakai is also part of the Crailtap family, which includes Girl Skateboards, Chocolate Skateboards, Royal Trucks and Fourstar Clothing. Lakai?s first video, Beware of the Flare, was released in June 2002. Their follow up, the highly anticipated Fully Flared, was released to critical acclaim on November 16, 2007.
13th April 2009 - Three years after leaving long-time sponsor eS and joining Lakai, it looks like Eric Koston has once again changed his mind. The news officially broke via Lakai?s website. The brand says the decision was mutual and even held a press conference to give their comrade a proper farewell. No official word has been announced regarding possible destinations but it looks like he?ll be ducking a good amount of shoes in the process.
