Burton started in 1977 when founder Jake Burton Carpenter had a dream of reinventing life on the slopes. Burton turned the wheels into motion of what we think of as modern snowboarding. From his factory in Europe he made something completely new, the snowboard, inspired by the then popular snurfer. Burton since his beginning didn’t just work on creating the best snow gear out there, he worked with parks and resorts in allowing snowboarders on the slopes, making the sport both more popular and more accessible.
Burton has since become the world’s largest snowboard company, producing boards for a variety of riding styles, bindings and boots and of course a wide range of snow clothing including jackets and pants for the icy slopes and t-shirts and hoodies for when things heat up. So grab yourself a piece of snowboard heritage and pay homage to where it all started.
