Route One At Springbreak!

Posted by Route One on 14th May 2013

Last week was the return of the UK Snowboard Test in Kaunertal, Austria. After whispers of the test ending for good last year due to lack of support, the organisers couldn’t let the best week of the season die, so the week was opened up to the public for the first time and rebranded ‘Springbreak’! The renaming and making it public worked a treat and the turnout was huge, with events from loads of sponsors being put on every day from rail jams to best methods to après parties and live bands, it was packed with action!

One great thing about this week is for everyone in the UK snowboard industry to get together and catch up on everyone’s seasons, shred with all your pals and knock back a few jagers together. For the Route One Snowboard Team, it was the first opportunity for the full team to ride together this year, with Seb coming over form America, Billy having finished his long list of World Cup comps qualifying for the Olympics and the rest of the boys to head out for one last trip of the season.

There was a massive selection of next year’s gear offered up by all the big names in the industry, all available to demo. Trying out some of the new product has got us really excited for next winter with technology and design being pushed even further, we can’t wait for it all to drop in September!
