Welcome To Hell: 20 Year Anniversary

Posted by Route One on 19th October 2016

Looking back now, it's easy to see the immense importance and subsequent influence Toy Machine Skateboards' seminal release 'Welcome To Hell' had on skateboarding.

From the infamous stories relating to the premiere night difficulties (resulting in Chad Muska's withdrawal from the video and resignation from the brand) through to the inevitable launch of Zero Skateboards, Welcome To Hell will rightfully go down in history as one of the most important skate videos of all time. However, as much as this may be the pinnacle of skateboarding twenty years ago, it still feels wholly relevant to this day.

To celebrate the passing of two decades since its initial showing, Jenkem Mag are releasing a series of videos, chronicling the raw footage captured by Josh Stewart on the summer tour preceding the release of the tape. As the good folk at Jenkem put it "It's filled with great skating from legendary pros at their prime and it makes us wish we could macarena ourselves straight back in time to '96". Dig in and educate your self on the good ol' days, they don't make 'em like this any more!
