Emerica Presents: Provost x Mouse
From humble beginnings, skating the streets of San Diego and working in skate store warehouses, Michael ‘Mouse’ Bastidas began creating stencils from old beer cases to make one-off shirts for his friends. Finding an instant talent and passion for stencil work, Mouse saw an opportunity in the skate world, and began creating intricate stencil designs for grip tape. In the few short years he has been established he has worked with some big names such DC, Nitro Snowboards and most recently MOB to create distinctive designs, which are still individually hand-painted.
Having been handed the new UK exclusive collaboration with Emerica, ‘Mouse’ brings 11 different, yet classic inspired designs to the favourable Provost Cruiser Slip-On. With this run being limited to 666 pairs, of which we have been lucky enough to grab 150, each pair of shoes has been painstakingly created and hand-painted by Mouse himself.
The designs give the Provost’s clean silhouette a new lease of life, with psychedelic, tie-dye colours and trippy designs. With a run number inside each shoe - each pair is slightly different in finish to the last, with varied paint splatters and colour mixes, making each shoe unique, individual and a true collector’s piece.
Mouse’s handiwork is complimented by Emerica’s simple, clean detailing. With a white outsole, black mid-section and binding, the range is finished with Mouse’s infamous tag on the heel panel of each shoe.
