Kyle Frederick’s ‘12 O’clock Karl’ Part
Once again Thrasher are bringing the serious hammers to the table, this week in the form of this fantastic section from Kyle Frederick.
Shaped boards seem to be having a resurgence of late, most likely fueled by the popularity of Welcome Skateboards, and DC’s Kyle Frederick truly rips on (what we believe to be) not only a shaped but much longer wheel based deck. The thing is though, once you forget about the gimmicky appearance of his set up, the skateboarding he purveys is simply astounding.
There are gnarly rails and big ol’ banks – this is proper all terrain action and done with stylish aplomb. The lad has definitely found a deck that works for him; maybe it’s time you played around with different shapes and sizes – you never know what’ll work for you until you give it a try!
