Go Skateboarding Day
International Go Skateboarding Day, which falls on the 21st of June each year, may well have started off in 2004 as an Emerica Footwear marketing drive but it has gained momentum to become one of the most important dates in the skateboarding calender.
Celebrations the world over went off in style; from your local park building a new obstacle for the day, to the biggest brands in the biz holding special events with the biggest names - The 21st of June has become a day when everyone from Paul Rodriguez to little Tommy Berkins can come together and collectively enjoy playing with skateboards.
Perhaps the biggest event to go off in the UK this year was the visit of the Supra team to Bristol and the city wide jams that went on well into the evening. Sidewalk Magazine were on hand to capture the best of the day and we've linked the video for you here.
