BIG THREE JAM @ Lloyds, Bristol

On Saturday, we headed down to the sacred Lloyds Amphitheatre in Bristol for the return of the BIG THREE JAM.

To get prepped, earlier in the week, our very own Andy Makepeace headed down to the harbourside with Russ Heideman and Mark Pritchard to give Lloyds a much needed bit of TLC before the big day, filling in cracks and generally making the worn down ledges more skateable. After a bit of warming the legs, people got straight to it on the ledges, as well as taking it down second over a barrier. Mark, dressed for business, showered participants with prizes and cold, hard cash. Tom Kinman, Doddy, Benny and Jake Clarke shined in this segment of the jam.

There ain't many spots in Britain that demand as much respect as the infamous Lloyds 3, so, when Mark decided that it was time for people to huck it down the 3, the number of participants understandably dwindled, with just a select few putting their bodies on the line for our entertainment. This being the UK, the rain obviously came and ruined the fun before we were done, but before it had its chance, a few standout tricks were put down. Matty (Owen) ollied the set a little too easily on a coffin cruiser which was as long as most board are wide; Jordo Lightowler busted a hardflip like it was nothing, and TDre put down the showstopping boneless (after taking a handful of heavy slams). Shout out to everyone who made this event happen and those who came down to skate or to show their support. Amongst those in attendance, our team riders Matty Owen and Ben Rowley from our National and Bristol Stores, respectively, as well as our newest team member, Alfonso Veintimilla, who joined our Glasgow store team this month.
