As a newcomer to Nike's already well-established skateboarding line, the Vertebrae has a lot to live up to, and achieves this with a distinctive suede silhouette reminiscent of an old-school runner. The shoe draws its name from its structured side panelling, created using supportive columns that protect the foot and encourage a springy responsiveness, as well as a unique look. Using a cupsole construction, the Vertebrae provides comfort and impact resistance under foot and improved durability in high abrasion areas - the outsole's rubber extends further up the shoe, cupping the toe, heel, and side walls in high abrasion areas.
