Evoking the spirit of Dirt Mcgirt aka Ol’ Dirty Bastard will never be an easy thing, however the good people over at Diamond Supply Co. have created a collection dedicated to the iconic rapper, provoking not only opinions but also reminiscent memories of the good ol’ days.
Founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan and part-time Fugee, Ol’ Dirty’s success came from his trademark microphone techniques and his "outrageously profane, free-associative rhymes, delivered in a distinctive half-rapped, half-sung style.”
Never one to shy away from controversy, his professional success was always disrupted by frequent problems which lead people to question whether Ol' Dirty’s erratic behaviour was the result of his well known drug abuse or genuine mental instability.
Leaving behind a little something for everyone, Ol’ Dirty Bastard passed away on November 13, 2004, of a drug overdose, two days before his 36th birthday. Sorely missed by family, friends and fans alike, this capsule collection aims to bring Ol’ Dirty’s eccentric character back to life using favourable and noticeable imagery that everybody can relate to.
