Lee Rozee Sidewalk Interview
Any of you who have had the fortune to skate Leeds will have some way been affected by the dedication to skateboarding shown by Doug McLaughlan’s long-time cohort, Bradfordian legend Lee Rozee.
Whether it’s sessioning a street spot Roz found twenty years ago, slashing the fudge out of one of his many DIY contributions to the city, visiting him in the now long gone Wisdom Skate Shop or simply watching in awe as he back three’d in front of you at Hyde (or more likely bombed past you at Mach Julian somewhere between Headingley and Meanwood) – if you have skated in Leeds then Roz has had a direct influence in what you are doing.
For those of you not fortunate enough to have come into contact with the great man himself, this Sidewalk ‘Made of Stone’ feature serves as a perfect introduction to the 42 year old living embodiment of skateboarding radness. Get involved by clicking the image below – Lee Rozee IS British skateboarding.
