The Joslin show? Don't forget about Suciu, Cookie, Dennis and Mason!

May 2025 by Route One
Who doesn't love Chris Joslin? Long time friend of Route One and one of the hardest working pros in the business, Plan B's golden goose has produced the goods again, barely eight months after the phenomenal 'Joslin & Lazer!'

Famed for his no frills approach, the ability to huck down the biggest gaps imaginable and a sartorial aesthetic that led one YouTube commenter to suggest he "always looks like he just got done installing a kitchen counter," Cerritos, CA boy Chris has undoubtedly cemented his place as the working class hero skateboarding needs!

Working class is not an adjective one would ever use for the next focus of this week's attention, Mark Suciu. Another friendship of ours stretching over a decade, Mark epitomises the middle class skateboarding intellectual and, alongside Chris, beautifully illustrates how skateboarding is available to everyone, transcending societal barriers. Truth be told, Mark's skating often appears to transcend the barriers of physics too, such is the impossible dexterity of his foot work!

This 'Hardest Good' channel clip isn't an official brand affiliated release, so there isn't any adidas Skateboarding or Habitat money behind it to give it that push. But Mark's skating always speaks for itself, so click play and listen to what it has to say!

Next up, and keen to stress that Suciu isn't the only fast footwork fiend dropping clips this week, is everyone's favourite Worbler Chris 'Cookie' Colbourn with, dare we say it, possibly his best part to date. Now that's a bold claim, we will agree; New Balance's Vermont connection Chris releases full parts more regularly than many pro's upload a hard post. Given, they're usually on Thrasher (as 'York and Fig' is), you know he's never caught slacking!

Following in Cookie's substantial footsteps, and closing up this week, is no easy task. So it's a good job Dennis Busenitz and Mason Silva came good with their Hot Mic vid for Real Skateboards! Starting off with examining Dennis' penchant for measuring a spot (who knew the pavement runout of the Staples centre hubba was exactly 23 feet!?!), a quick noseslide nollie flip introduces the action and before we know it the boys are going off!

And there you go, that's  the rub of the week's action. Joslin kicks it off, Mason and Dennis close it up. Throw in that Cookie and Suciu filling and it really is an all time classic line up. May 2025 just got real!
