DC Shoes x Ben Davis Collection

Nov 2015 by Route One

Route One is proud to announce the arrival of DC x Ben Davis Collection for Winter 2015.

As one of the most well-known skate brands available, with snow, moto and multiple skate teams, DC Shoes have also moved on to working with other brands and names, to create an amazing range of collaborations to accent their already varied range.  With huge collabs with SHUT and Mouse already under their belts this year, DC are rounding of 2015 with a collection made closely with American workwear specialists Ben Davis.

Starting back in the 30’s, Ben Davis himself created a range of hardwearing workwear styles, and was instrumental of the development of the world renowned Levi’s jeans. Since then Ben Davis, now run by Davis’ son Frank, have been well-known for their uncomplicated and incredibly well-made products, adorned with their distinctive gorilla logo, which has remained unchanged since the company’s birth.

The collection itself features an extra-tough edition of DC favourite Trase, crafted in leather, finished with workboot laces and the classic Ben Davis gorilla logo on the insole. This edition uses a combination of detailing and a simple silhouette to create the best-looking and most long-lasting pair of Trase ever.

The clothing in the range has an old school Americana feel, where DC and Ben Davis branding is blended perfectly to create new, vintage-look logos and illustrations, harking back to Ben Davis’ beginnings in 30’s California. The collection is complemented by authentic workwear pants and shirts, built to last a lifetime with an understated finish. Useful and good-looking never goes out of style.
