RIP Ben Raemers
Skateboarding. Childhood innocence, friendships, beaming smiles and dreams of travelling the world; few people embodied the love of our lives like Walton-on-the-Naze's most treasured son Ben Raemers and it's with the heaviest of hearts that we have to announce his passing this week.
From his first forays in national skate media, shining in the UK comp circuit, to pro boards on enjoi and winning hearts the world over through his involvement in Thrasher's King of the Road, it's safe to assume there isn't a skater on the planet that wasn't touched or inspired by his infectious smile and boundless energy. It's no exaggeration to say he truly was one of the all time greats, both on and off the board.
Skateboarding lost a true original this week and also one of the nicest to ever do it. Rest easy Ben, you really were one of the good ones.
Tell your friends you love them and don't ever be afraid to seek out help when you need it; there's always somebody there for you.
