Ron Deily: Under The Hudson
Zoo York’s Ron Deily has kept relatively quiet since his stand out section in their 2009 release ‘State of mind’. Other than popping up in the ‘King of New York’ promo a couple of years back the lad seems to have forgone skate media in favour of just getting down to business and just going out skateboarding.
Well, that’s all thankfully changed with the release of this brilliant clip, focussing on Ron’s daily journey from NJ, along the Path Train and under the Hudson river into NYC.
This part showcases the very best of what it means to be an East Coast skater in New York as well as reiterating the point that Ron himself is a tremendous talent. Of course the spots are incredibly raw and yes, there are wallies aplenty, but the ability Ron possesses makes the skateboarding within seem so fluid it could’ve been filmed in perfect Cali schoolyards; it just looks a million times cooler!
