Few keep it as real as Thrasher and even fewer keep it as raw as Spitfire so when the two come together for a trip to Ecuador you know this is about as good as it gets!
Straddling the equator (the clue is in the name) and showcasing a landscape that straddles both Amazonian rain forest and stunning Pacific coast, Spanish colonial nation Ecuador has serious skate history (and a long term love affair with Jake Phelps it seems) with the fabled concrete of Parque De Carolinas in Quito has been graced by the urethane of natives and visiting gnarlers for over 40 years.
This time around, and with a crew consisting of Grant Taylor, Raven Tershy, Evan Smith, Ronnie Sandoval and more, the sights, sounds and spots of the county's north bore witness to a hellride the likes of which few will ever see. Captured on film and shared with us now, the sessions of this trip deserve to go down in history as a high point in the skate legacy of this great nation. Think we're venturing into territory a little hyperbolic? Watch & judge for yourself; this is proper mental from start to finish!
