What Do The Experts Say?
Since 1889 Carhartt has been a name synonymous with hardy workwear. The Carhartt WIP brand, founded in 1994, seamlessly blends their premium quality and durable Carhartt clothing classics with timeless streetwear style. The Carhartt WIP denim collection for 2025 - including Carhartt jorts and Carhartt jeans - stands as a testament to this legacy, offering up Carhartt WIP shorts and trousers in a range of fits, washes and denim styles which has seen them become a popular skate clothing brand.
Our current collection of Carhartt denim includes 28 styles, comprising of 22 carry overs and 6 brand new to Route One for Spring/Summer ’25. Spread across 5 denim types and 8 fits and a number of different washes, from baggy black jeans to versatile Carhartt cargo pants, the collection has something for everyone, particularly for those looking for quality skater jeans and skater trousers.
The brand’s commitment to quality bleeds through the entire manufacturing process, beginning with meticulous sourcing and production standards. Carhartt WIP operates its main hub of operations from the Monastir region of Tunisia, running its logistical platform and two main factories from this area. The relationship has stood since 1993, enabling Carhartt WIP to maintain control over the quality of their products, as well as encouraging a tradition of craftsmanship. These facilities handle everything from super baggy jeans to classic Carhartt double knee pants. Additionally, the brand typically relies on long-term partnerships elsewhere, ensuring they maintain the Carhartt WIP level of quality whilst also focusing on excellent working conditions.
Materials largely come from the European Union, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, and Japan. Once sourced, these fabrics are sent to the logistical platform in Monastir for inspection and preparation before being dispatched to Carhartt WIP's factories or partner manufacturers. This process ensures that every garment, from mens baggy jeans to Carhartt jorts, meets the brand's high standards of quality and durability.
Cotton plays a leading role in Carhartt WIP’s collections, accounting for 70% of the brand’s products. Recognising the environmental challenges associated with traditional cotton farming, the brand has taken key steps towards sustainability, including integrating organic cotton into their products in 2017, which includes many of their denim styles. They have joined the Better Cotton Initiative to promote sustainable farming practices globally, striving to source all of its cotton from sustainable sources.

One of our two bestsellers from Carhartt WIP, the Brandon Pant is cut in a loose straight fit with a low crotch. Made from ‘Smith’ denim, the Brandon is a hardwearing pant with a contemporary silhouette.
SHOP BRANDON PANT
The second half of the Brandon/Landon bestsellers, the Landon Pant is constructed of ‘Robertson’ denim, a heavyweight fabric which has been stone-washed for a softer feel. Cut in a loose tapered fit, the Landon has a regular waist, meaning the pant has more space in the upper leg which begins to taper below the knee.

Coming in several iterations, the Single Knee Pant pulls inspiration from traditional work pant silhouettes in both Smith and Norco denims. The former is a 13.5 oz cotton twill fabric, whilst the latter is a heavyweight cotton. The fit is relaxed with straight legs and a regular waistband, and you’ll find it in a variety of washes at Route One. The Single Knee is triple stitched for robustness and features tool pockets and a hammer loop for a contemporary take on a utilitarian pant.
SHOP SINGLE KNEE PANT
Continuing the Single Knee party, the OG Single Knee Pant is cut in a loose straight fit, which is wider through the legs, thigh, and waist than the classic Single Knee Pant above, whilst still featuring the utilitarian nods of its counterpart. The OG is made from a heavyweight Camano Denim and includes bartack stitching at stress points. Find the OG Single Knee Pant in Burst Washed and Dark Used Wash.

Whoa, I’m seeing double. What’s better than a single knee? Probably a double knee. The Double Knee Pant is yet another from Carhartt which uses their Smith denim, this time cutting a relaxed straight fit from it.

“You can put Carhartt denim through anything. Through many long skates and even more slams, falls and scrapes, it’ll hold up for sure. I love the Brandon’s, they fit nice and baggy so give room to breathe when skating. ”
“We’re really happy to be able to expand our Carhartt WIP denim collection. It’s a bestseller for a reason. Loads of styles, super durable and as versatile as it gets. It’s tough but if I had to pick a favourite it’d have to be the Landon”
