After some recent pro colourways and a long and glittering career on Etnies, Californian Chris Joslin has released his first pro model shoe, and we’re stoked that we managed to sit down with him recently to chat about his new achievement - and a few other things of course!
The shoe, simply named the Joslin, features the same ultra long-lasting sole from his recent collaboration with Michelin tyres which previously featured on the Marana. Crafted from premium grade rubber, the sole can withstand pretty much anything you can throw at it, giving you some serious bang for your buck.
Drawing influence from éS silhouettes, the Etnies Marana and Jameson, the Joslin features a simplified upper with minimal seams, creating a clean look and less room for deterioration. The rubber toecap which features heavily across Etnies backcatologue appear here but are cleverly hidden below the upper, further simplifying the look without compromising on durability.
The shoe is finished with understated branded detailing, centring on the Etnies logo, reimagined as a wolverine-style claw marks from a recent new nickname of Joslin’s. The Joslin is available in two colourways - a cool Grey/Gum suede colourway with white detailing, and a super simple Black/Gum suede.
